I got nightmares from reading this book

Incidents Around the House started with the terrifying text of a young girl telling her parents goodnight then welcoming "other mommy" from the closet.  Sounds like a nightmare right?  I thought the book was very creepy and had a lot of symbolism regarding what we allow into our minds, hearts and homes.

Like many people, the constant reference to "Daddo" in the book got a little annoying but overall I really enjoyed the story and it kept me guessing how it would end.

Regarding that, I didn't love the ending. But you shouldn't expect a horror novel to end happily, really. And I, myself, write not so happy endings, so I can't really complain there.

Overall, this book did give me at least one nightmare and it had many elements that gave me the chills. It was like "Paranormal Activity" in book form.

Definetly adding to my list!! But I will probably regret it when I’m lying awake at night! Hazel used to tell me about the lady in her bathroom who would sit on her bed and talk to her. 😳

Oh my gosh, that's terrifying! I would freak out if my child told me that. 😂 Time to sage that house! I had a couple nights that I woke up around 3am with the book stuck in my head. But it was still good.
